2024 Buffalo Bills Super Bowl & AFC Odds

Odds as of August 15

The Bills season long betting odds are too low to get excited about, and I can't pull the trigger on this unproven team. At this time last year Buffalo was one of the Super Bowl favorites. Their current AFC Championship and AFC East division futures are a reflection of the quality at large.

Buffalo lost a plethora of veteran talent this off-season. The mercurial talents of Stefon Diggs were traded to Houston, while Gabriel Davis left for greener pastures in Jacksonville. On top of that, starting safeties and team captains Jordan Poyer and Micah Hyde were jettisoned to the scrap heap like Han and Chewy. The news that All-Pro linebacker Matt Milano will miss about half the season with a bicep tear drives the point home. Buffalo will need some time to adjust, and I'm not sure they'll have it in an uber-competitive conference.

Those losses will be tough to overcome in a division that includes Aaron Rodgers and the New York Jets and the ever dangerous Miami Dolphins. As far as the AFC picture as a whole, it's a crapshoot. Each of the Chiefs, Ravens, Bengals, Bills, Texans, Jets, Dolphins and even the Browns will enter the 2024 NFL season believing they have a legitimate shot at vying for conference dominance. Unless you're a strong believer in Buffalo taking home the AFC East once again, I'd wait to see what the season holds for the Bills 2024 futures odds.

2024 Buffalo Bills Win Total Odds

Odds as of August 15

Keep in mind, the public loves to bet on Josh Allen and the Bills, but sportsbooks recognize that. The Bills are heavily favored in games, and finished the 2023 regular season just 6-11 ATS.

It's no surprise to see the UNDER of Buffalo's 2024 win total so heavily juiced. After all the defections from Orchard Park this off-season, the Bills will need to get a bunch of young players up to speed quickly in order to avoid any sort of letdown.

As NFL fans witnessed with Aaron Rodgers and the Green Bay Packers after they traded Davante Adams, losing your quarterbacks' most trusted target is tough to bounce back from. Keon Coleman is a wonderful talent, but there will be a myriad of communication and stylistic differences in an NFL offense for him to adjust to. Expect the Bills offense to disappoint fans and bettors alike early in the season. If you have to make a Bills 2024 win totals play jump on the UNDER 10.5 wins.

2024 Buffalo Bills Playoff Odds

Odds as of August 15

Hold off on betting Buffalo to make the playoffs. While the Bills have made the playoffs in five straight seasons, and six of the last seven years, returning to the postseason in 2024 is a different battle. With Allen at quarterback they are slightly favored to make the postseason once again.

However, as the odds attest, Buffalo heading to the playoffs is far less of a sure thing than in years' past. As we've covered, the offense will be a work in progress through the early stages of the season.

Plus, multiple matchups with other playoff contenders in the Jets and Dolphins will make the schedule tough to navigate. The Bills also battle the likes of the Ravens, Texans, Chiefs, 49ers and Lions this season. Without Poyer, Hyde and Milano on the field, Buffalo's defensive back seven will struggle from time-to-time. There could be major regression on the horizon in Orchard Park this season, and the only real value in the Buffalo Bills playoff market lies on them to miss the playoffs at +142.

2024 Buffalo Bills NFL MVP Odds

Odds as of August 15

Josh Allen has finished in the top-five in NFL MVP voting in two of the last three seasons.

Last year, Allen created more points than any other player in the league while leading the Bills to the AFC East title. The Wyoming product is undoubtedly one of the most dynamic quarterbacks in the NFL. As Allen continues to elevate his game, he remains a strong contender to finally capture the MVP award in 2024, especially if he can lead finish the season strong for a surging Bills squad.

Early season games against the Dolphins and Ravens could see the Bills stumble, and if you believe in Allen, that's the right time to pounce. You'll likely find far more value in season than his current +800 odds.
