Formula 1 returns this weekend! After a chaotic Austrian Grand Prix allowed Mercedes driver George Russell to take the checkered flag, the legendary Silverstone circuit hosts the F1 British Grand Prix on Sunday, July 7.
Let's dive into the updated F1 British Grand Prix odds with Max Verstappen once again the favorite.
F1 British Grand Prix Odds
Odds as of July 4
Verstappen Favored at Silverstone
Verstappen and rival/friend Lando Norris battled to their own bitter ends in Austria, as their contact ended any shot each had to win the race. Perhaps most frighteningly for Christian Horner and Red Bull, the whole world saw the gap between the RB and McLaren is getting progressively smaller and smaller. Clearly, the McLaren upgrades have caught up.
As the victor of seven of the 10 races on the F1 calendar thus far, the Dutch dynamo was always going to be the favorite. He also leads Norris by 81 points in the F1 Championship race, and will be motivated to win at Silverstone for the second year in a row.
That being said, at -175 odds, I like the value elsewhere on the board much better.

Lando Norris to Win Qualifying +333
The high-speed corners and long straights of Silverstone favor the McLaren. As such, I like the value on Norris to come out ahead in qualifying at his home race. He finished just two-tenths of a second behind Verstappen in qualifying last year, and has a much better chance of improving on that performance in 2024.
McLaren's major upgrade package, first introduced at the Miami Grand Prix, have proven to be a game-changer. The modifications, which include a new front and rear wing, have thrust the Surrey-based team straight into a battle with Red Bull for the Constructors Championship, and made Norris a genuine contender. As Austria displayed, the 24-year-old Brit isn't afraid to take on Verstappen, and he's gone nose-to-nose with him on multiple occassions this summer.
For that reason, I also love the value on Lando Norris to win the F1 British Grand Prix at +250 odds. Ride with the papaya orange and Norris at Silverstone this weekend.
Race Technicals
The 5.9km long track will play host to 52 laps of racing on Sunday, amounting to a total race distance of 306.1km. Max Verstappen holds the lap record with a 1:27.09s in-race lap in 2020, and given how the current cars are roughly 2s slower than last years’ cars, the lap record should remain intact.
Silverstone is known for its high-speed corners and technical nature. The track is harsh on the front left tires given the high amount of high-speed right-handers, so tire management will be a deciding factor. The famous corners, Maggots, Becketts, and the Vale chicane are all key parts of the circuits where lap times can be made or broken.
