The F1 season heads to Hungary after a wondrous British Grand Prix produced Lewis Hamilton's first victory in three years. After Red Bull and Max Verstappen's early dominance, the field has been far more competitive of late.
Verstappen remains the favorite for the 2024 F1 Hungarian GP. However, the odds reflect how much the rest of the paddock has caught up. Let's dive into all the F1 Hungarian Grand Prix odds and my best bets.

F1 Hungarian Grand Prix Odds: Verstappen the Favorite Yet Again
Verstappen has won seven races so far this season, and has nine podiums on display. For that reason, sportsbooks have installed him as the favorite to win the Hungarian Grand Prix. He leads the F1 Drivers Championship by 84 points over his closest competitor, friend/rival Lando Norris.
He's won back-to-back F1 Hungarian Grand Prix's by nearly 40 seconds combined, with Norris intriguingly placing second on both occasions. By their high standards, Red Bull had a horrible weekend at the British Grand Prix, and yet, Verstappen finished in second.
There's every reason to believe he can complete a three-peat in Hungary this weekend. Having said that, the true value lies further down the odds board.
F1 Hungarian Grand Prix Best Bet
Verstappen is expected to do well here, but as a -110 there isn't much value, especially with the RB20 underperforming.
George Russell (+650)
Russell had steadily built on his results over the past months, finishing third at the Canadian Grand Prix, and fourth in Spain before being forced to retire at Silverstone. He started the 2022 Hungarian Grand Prix on pole, and if he gets there this time, the added power of the upgraded Mercedes could be enough to hold off the rest of the field.
The Hungaroring is a notoriously narrow and twisting track, which makes overtaking awfully difficult. In fact, the track is often called "Monaco without barriers", which will work in Mercedes's favor against the pace and power of Red Bull and McLaren.
The experience of the Mercedes squad has come to the forefront, as the team has expertly navigated a number of difficult race conditions in recent times. Russell will be motivated to make up for his unfortunate retirement after leading the race from pole position at Silverstone, and at +650 odds, I like him to come out on top in Hungary.
