Working in the Brooklyn Nets' favor is just how horrid the Eastern Conference currently appears, with just two teams possessing records over the .500 mark as of November 13. A 5-6 start SU isn't anything to throw a parade over, but for a team that was once projected to finish with the fewest victories across the Association, it's a surprising 11-game run.
Although, when dissecting those wins, only one came against a team with a winning record, so it could very well be just a flash in the pan. Until the East gets its act together, though, the Nets will be right there in the thick of it in playoff contention barring the franchise choosing to bottom out and gun for a higher draft pick.
