The NFL finally gave us a good Monday Night Football game, with the Bengals and Ravens battling in primetime. Baltimore is a 6.5-point favorite, at FanDuel, looking to claw back the AFC North lead with a win.
The Bengals can't afford many more losses, but at +220 on the moneyline the books aren't confident Cincinnati can find a win this week. However, the market I'm looking at for this TNF contest is the point total, set at O/U 52.5:
Bengals vs Ravens Odds Week 10
As of November 4th at FanDuel
Bengals vs Ravens Picks Week 10
OVER 52.5 Points (-110)
This matchup was made for the OVER. The books have set this one pretty high, with the total sitting at 52.5 at FanDuel. But, I've got no fear. The Ravens' games have gone OVER this mark in four of the last five and the Bengals' in five of the last seven.
The way these teams are constructed is just built for OVER football. Both Baltimore and Cincinnati have top-eight offenses by Expected Points Added and bottom-eight defenses. It's no surprise that Baltimore is 8-1 on the OVER this year and Cincinnati is 6-3.
We've also already seen how this specific matchup plays out this year, with the Ravens toppling the Bengals 41-38 in a early-October shootout. I see now reason this week's game won't go high, as well.
Bengals vs Ravens Prop Pick
Mike Gesicki OVER 46.5 Receiving Yards
Gesicki has gone over this 46.5 rec yard mark in four of his last seven weeks, including going well over the mark in Cincinnati's last two games. Gesicki enters this Ravens contest coming off 12 receptions and 173 yards in his last two contests. I'd expect him to see even more snaps this week against Baltimore because the Bengals' TE2, Erick All Jr., just suffered a major injury against the Raiders last week, too.
The big key, though, is Baltimore's struggles to defend tight ends. They've allowed the most yards in football to opposing tight ends (608 in nine games).
Bengals vs Ravens Betting Trends
- The Ravens are 7-1 against the spread in their last eight games against bottom-10 defenses
- The OVER has hit in seven of the Ravens' last eight games against bottom-10 defenses
- The Bengals are 4-2 ATS in their last six games
- The Bengals are 2-8 ATS in their last 10 games against AFC North opponents
