Browns vs Raiders Picks Week 4

Raiders -1.5

Raiders head coach Antonio Pierce called out his team for a lack of effort against the putrid Carolina Panthers on Sunday. The Raiders sit 22nd in defensive EPA/play and have allowed 378 yards and 27 points per game this season.

However, the Browns offense is the worst in the NFL by EPA/play (-0.225). They're averaging just 248 total offensive yards per game, and 3.8 yards per play which both ranked 31st in the league. Plus, they've converted on an NFL-worst 18.6% of third downs. Deshaun Watson has been dreadful under center, missing a number of routine throws.

Additionally, they are likely to be without both starting tackles for this road contest, and star pass rusher Myles Garrett is also banged up.

Raiders quarterback Gardner Minshew hasn't set the world on fire in 2024, but he's completed nearly 74% of his passes while leading the Raiders to the fifth best red zone scoring percentage. With the Browns offensive and defensive lines banged up, I'm betting the Raiders can capitalize and Minshew Mania pulls out a home victory on Sunday.

Browns vs Raiders News

Cleveland is dealing with a host of injury issues as both starting tackles Jedrick Wills and Jack Conklin have missed practice this week. On top of that, all-world pass rusher Myles Garrett is dealing with an achilles ailment, David Njoku's ankle injury has lingered and starting linebacker Jordan Hicks is banged on.

Likewise, the Raiders placed safety Marcus Epps on injured reserve after he tore his ACL in Week 3. Plus, their pass rushing extraordinaire, Maxx Crosby is listed as questionable for this contest with an ankle issue.
