Bundesliga Title Odds: Bayern Munich Favored For 11th Straight Title

The Bundesliga has come under severe criticism over the years for being incapable of providing the circumstances for any real competitors for Bayern Munich. The Bavarian side won its 10th consecutive Bundesliga title this season and it’s not likely to change going into the new campaign.

Borussia Dortmund was the last side other than Bayern to win the Bundesliga under Jurgen Klopp and one wonders what it would’ve looked like had Klopp not managed Dortmund at the time.

There will be renewed hope with a new season that other teams can challenge for the Bundesliga title odds but it’s hard to see the title ending up at a club that isn’t Bayern.

What Are The 2022-23 Bundesliga Title Odds?

Odds as of June 13 at Sportsbook

Favorites To Win Bundesliga

Bayern Munich (-500)

They’re heavy favorites but there are some doubts about the way forward for Bayern. Robert Lewandowski’s situation is crucial. The Polish striker has been publicly critical of the club in recent months and it looks like the relationship has soured to a point of no return.

Julian Nagelsmann is also under pressure because of the disappointment in the Champions League. It looks like Serge Gnabry might also leave the club and Niklas Sule has already left.

It could be a summer of transition for Bayern but they still have the best players in the league with a nice mix of youth and experience and one of the best young managers in the world. They’re also planning on adding Liverpool’s Sadio Mane, which should strengthen them in the forward areas.

It’s hard to see past anyone but Bayern winning next year’s Bundesliga. Despite their struggles in Europe, they won the league by eight points.

Value Picks To Win The Bundesliga

Borussia Dortmund (+700)

It’s been a frustrating couple of seasons for Borussia Dortmund. They head into every season hoping that it’s the year they’ll challenge Bayern but it never materializes.

They’ve also lost some of their star players in recent years with Jadon Sancho and Erling Haaland leaving for the Manchester clubs.

Last season’s manager, Marco Rose, has also been fired by the club with Edin Terzic recalled. Karim Adeyemi, Niklas Sule and Nico Schlotterbeck will be valuable additions and may help put the focus on the team again.

Dortmund’s selling club reputation hasn’t helped over the years but the team they have currently looks like one that could be together for a while.

Their Bundesliga title odds are excellent but they’ll need a massive favor from Bayern. A good season by their standards won’t be enough.

RB Leipzig (+1200)

RB Leipzig’s rise from the lower divisions has been one of the stories of European football over the last few years but they seem to have plateaued a bit after breaking into the top-four for many years. Part of the problem here is that they have great resources but not like Bayern.

This is a highly ambitious organization and Domenico Tedesco has been a great addition to the side. They won their first trophy last season, beating SC Freiburg 3-1 in the DFB Pokal final, and will be hoping that some silverware can breed a winning mentality into the side.

Their Bundesliga title odds are amazing but the job for the moment is to get closer to Bayern.

Bundesliga Betting Strategy

Of all the top five leagues, the Bundesliga is the most one-sided. Bayern Munich remains the Bundesliga outright odds favorite with Borussia Dortmund expected to be their main competitor. Unless something extraordinary happens, we can’t see anything but an 11th consecutive title for Bayern Munich.

The job for the other clubs in the Bundesliga isn’t to topple Bayern but to close the gap for now.
