My CFL Week 11 expert picks feature bets for all four games. Of my picks, I eagerly jump on the Lions (-1.0) as they host the Blue Bombers with BC fresh off the thrilling signing of former quarterback, Nathan Rourke.
In Week 11, I look to improve from last week's picks which went 3-1 bringing my 2024 CFL expert picks to 18-19-1 on the season (-2.67 Units).
CFL Picks for week 11
We're past the halfway mark 2024 CFL regular season and it's just as exciting as opening night. As mentioned above, my Week 11 CFL picks feature Rourke returning from his NFL stint.

ottawa redblacks Vs calgary stampeders Pick: UNDER 49.5 (-110)
Just three weeks ago, Redblacks (5-2-1 SU, 5-3 ATS) obliterated Calgary (4-5 SU, 6-3 ATS), 33-6, at TD Place. Now, the Stampeders can get their revenge — but I don't think they will.
The injury to Dru Brown leaves Ottawa's performance up in the air, though as backup Jeremiah Masoli is expected to start Thursday night. I'm always hesitant to rely on a guy getting his first start of the season to cover a spread (unless it's Tre Ford, obviously).
But, our CFL database found me some trends I'm liking. The UNDER has hit in five of the last six meetings between these two. While the Redblacks have also cashed the UNDER in five of their last six meetings.
montreal alouettes vs saskatchewan roughriders Pick: alouettes -1.0 (-108)
The Alouettes (8-1 SU, 6-3 ATS) are facing a ton of uncertainty. You want the good news of the bad news first?
The good news is the team's leading receiver last year, Austin Mack, could potentially be returning to Montreal after being cut by the NFL's Atlanta Falcons. The condition is that's only a possibility and it probably won't be happening before Friday.
Anyways, the bad news.
Leading receiver Tyson Philpot (779 YDS, 5 TDS) isn't practicing. The 24-year-old left last week's battle with the Ticats early after suffering a lower body injury.
Secondly, back-up Davis Alexander, whose gone a heroic 3-0 since taking over after Fajardo's injury, returned home earlier this week for personal reasons. Though, Jason Maas is expecting him to be available in Saskatchewan on Friday.
The Roughriders (5-3-1 SU, 6-3 ATS) continue on with their own quarterback woes with Trevor Harris still not guaranteed to return from his ACL injury. I got whiplash watching Shea Patterson, who sniped two touchdowns while also causing three interceptions.
With all that said, I'm confident in Davis Alexander to be on the field and continue his midseason success enough to cover this near Pick 'Em spread.
edmonton elks vs hamilton tiger-cats Pick: OVER 53 (-110)
The two teams sitting at the bottom of their respective divisions meet for the second time this season. Under different circumstances, I would be jumping all over the Elks (2-7 SU, 5-4 ATS) while they're in their Tre Ford era. But, the Canadian is listed as day-to-day with a rib injury and that really deflates all my excitement. McLeod Bethel-Thompson still secured the 33-16 win over the Lions and I do trust his veteran status.
With both groups sitting at the bottom of the league in scoring defense, allowing 29.2 points or more, I'm playing with the scoreboard for this matchup.
The OVER has hit in six of the last seven outings between both teams with all those instances surpassing the 53 point total set for this week.
winnipeg blue bombers vs BC Lions Pick: Lions -1.0 (-108)
Nathan freaking Rourke is returning to the CFL, joining the Lions (5-4 SU, 4-5 ATS) when they need him most in Vernon Adams Jr.'s absence. Looking to snap a three-game skid, BC just revealed the most lethal trick up its sleeve.
Winnipeg's (3-6 SU, 2-7 ATS) last outing, coincidentally against BC, was a 25-0 victory. Returning from a bye week, the Bombers will be feeling ready. But, I think this Rourke news has thrown them for a loop, thinking it would be an easy win against a bruised Lions pride.
I'm telling you right now, I've seen what I've needed to see — Rourke and the Lions are on my bet slip this week.
