Colorado vs Texas Tech Odds & Picks Week 11: Buffs Are A Bettors Best Friend

The No. 21 Colorado Buffaloes return from a bye week and head to Jones AT&T Stadium to visit the Texas Tech Red Raiders for a Big 12 clash. The Buffaloes, gripping onto their nationally ranked status, are gentle 3.5-point road favorites at FanDuel after winning five of their last six matchups.

Standing proudly with six wins, both programs successfully regrouped after suffering an early Week 2 loss. However, after dropping two of their last three games, there's a looming doubt hovering over the Red Raiders locker room. Considering Deion Sanders's consistency and offensive power, it's safe to bet on Colorado at this price.

Colorado vs Texas Tech Picks – Week 11

Shedeur Sanders and his offense are always on the brink of exploding, averaging a noble 31.4 PPG and 390.3 YPG. The senior finally has some room, only being sacked twice across his last two performances compared to being sacked 16 times in the three outings prior. Even the defense has started smartening up, giving up 21.4 PPG.

While Texas Tech's offensive numbers are promising (34.5 PPG), its defense is letting opponents keep up by giving up plenty of points, and its last four wins have been by six points or fewer.

Colorado's last loss was to Kansas State and even then, the Buffs put up a fight, eventually falling 31-28 as the clock ran out. But, from a betting perspective, this is a trusty group covering in six straight games with all but one of those spreads being below double-digits. I can trust the Buffaloes to pull through in matchups where opening odds suggest a tight scoreboard. This Saturday will be no different.

Colorado vs Texas Tech News

Looking to build off a win, Texas Tech will have to overcome a lengthy list of questionables on its injury report. Aside from LB Bryce Ramirez and DB Javeon Wilcox, who've been ruled officially out, six other starts have question marks next to their status for Saturday's game. Among them are defensive tackles De'Braylon Carroll and Quincy Ledet Jr., while there's also a handful of offensive linemen are also listed as questionable. The Red Raiders are expected to be weaker on both sides of the ball.

Colorado vs Texas Tech Prop Bet: laJohntay Wester UNDER 5.5 Receptions (-138)

Since Heisman Trophy contender Travis Hunter returned to the field with a full bill of health, LaJohntay Wester's role for the Buffs has slightly taken a back-seat in the receiving room. The senior saw five receptions in his last outing while Hunter caught nine. Averaging 4.8 receptions per game, the trend suggests Wester will continue cashing the UNDER on 5.5 receptions.
