No. 5 Miami is stacking up wins left and right, still maintaining a spotless record through eight games. While Duke holds a noble 6-2 SU record, the Blue Devils haven't faced anyone like the Hurricanes. Cam Ward is leading a monstrous offensive attack earning the reputation of being the nation's top threat. That explains why BetMGM has tagged them as large 20.5-point favorites in Florida this week. But, I've got enough proof to avoid taking a Miami spread and instead bet on the OVER at 54.5 points.

Duke vs Miami Picks – Week 10
The Hurricanes have covered just two of their five double-digit favored spreads this season, but have failed to do so since mid-September. As buff as Miami's offense is, I can't deny that it's defense has failed them with a handful of close-calls, with wins of a score or less between Week 5 to Week 8. Their last outing against the Seminoles showcased Ward's worst numbers this season, barely eclipsing 200 yards and failing to hit the endzone for the first time this year. Saying that, at their "worst", they still scrambled for 36-points. Duke averages a middling 26 PPG and are progressively getting better in its wide receiver room (more on that later).
The equation is simple to solve. Miami is explosive, Duke can score but both have defensive efforts that lack. Going 6-1-1 in favor of the OVER this season, I'm hammering the point total at a doable 54.5-points.

Duke vs Miami News
While Jordan Moore hasn't missed a game this year, he certainly hasn't been putting up numbers as good as last season's 835 yards. So far, the senior has collected just over half of last year's total. After a hard landing in Week 3's visit to Connecticut, Moore has been limited and hasn't seen as much playmaking action as he's used to. But, he's slowly been getting more involved, snagging an impressive touchdown against SMU last week.
Manny Diaz has told media that Moore is feeling better each week that passes and after earning his first touchdown since the end of September last week, I'd say that sentiment checks out.
