2024 F1 Saudi Arabia Odds

Odds as of March 5

Verstappen Favored Yet Again at -400 odds

As the odds attest, three-time defending F1 Champion Max Verstappen is once again a huge favorite to win the Saudi Arabian Grand Prix.

Red Bull will now be chasing their third straight victory in Saudi Arabia. Verstappen won on this track in 2022, and after a dominant performance in Bahrain is heavily favored for good reason. He's cruised through the F1 schedule lately, winning more races over the past two years than any driver in the sports history. Although, Jeddah provides its own list of challenges, that Max will once again have to emerge from unscathed to claim victory.

Bahrain was almost a walk in the park, but expect teams to adjust, and create at least some sort of adversity for the Dutch golden boy.

Considering this track is one of the fastest on the F1 calendar, it will be tough to defeat the Red Bull's. Bettors only hope may be to look towards Verstappen's teammate.

Value Bet For The Saudi Arabian Grand Prix

Keep in mind, Sergio Perez won in Jeddah last year. He's traditionally been a threat on street races throughout his career and has led for more laps in the Saudi Arabian Grand Prix than any other driver. He's also won pole position in qualifying in back-to-back years. Though that win came with Max Verstappen starting from P15 after having a driveshaft issue in qualifying and working his way all the way up to P2.

However, Perez has the car, and the quality to fight it out with his much more ballyhooed teammate. There are a number of hairpin turns on the Jeddah circuit, which features the most corners of any track on the F1 calendar. A rapid sequence of turns after turn 13 could allow the chasing pack to catch up and challenge race leaders. With the Saudi Arabian Grand Prix often reaching speeds of over 250kph, those front-running cars figure to be Red Bull's. Making Perez the most likely candidate to challenge Verstappen.

I like the value in Chico at +800 odds. This is a track he knows and loves. He fought off Max last year to claim victory and is a value bet to do so again in 2024.

History Of The Saudi Arabian Grand Prix

Lewis Hamilton won the first Saudi Arabian Grand Prix in 2021, taking the victory from pole position. While Red Bull have dominated in recent years, with Verstappen's victory in 2022 followed by Sergio Perez's win last season.

Seven-time world champion Hamilton holds the fastest lap record in Jeddah at 130.7 seconds.
