France to win the World Cup

Odds at +700

Top to bottom, France may have the best squad in the tournament with world-class players at every position. Forwards like Antoine Griezmann and Kylian Mbappe give Les Bleus an undeniable advantage with depth all through the roster. I expect them to at least get to the semifinals and think if they have to face Brazil or Germany, they have the depth and zeal to move past those futbol powerhouses.

Golden Boot Sportsbook as top goalscorer

Cristiano Ronaldo +1600

As a chalky pick, I know you may scoff at taking an obvious player but just because it’s obvious doesn’t mean it’s wrong. Ronaldo holds the title as the best soccer player in the world and with two group games against the likes of Iran and Morocco, he could win the award just for his performances in the Sportsbook round. Other players who could challenge him are Germans Timo Werner (+1600) and Thomas Muller (+2500) but with Germany being so deep, the team may spread it around too much to make them valid selections.
