The Gane vs Volkov odds ahead of UFC 310 are where you'd expect, despite a recent surge by the underdog.
Ciryl Gane is a -250 favorite over Alexander Volkov, the +200 underdog, ahead of their rematch on December 7. Gane won the first fight by unanimous decision in 2021.
I've got the Gane vs Volkov odds, a betting preview, and picks for this heavyweight brawl at UFC 310.
Gane vs Volkov Odds
Odds as of November 8
Per our odds calculator, a $100 bet on Gane's -250 odds (71.43% implied chance) pays out $140. The same $100 on Volkov (33.33% implied chance) pays out $300.
How To Bet Gane
Gane bounced back well from his loss to Jon Jones at UFC 285 by searching Sergei Spivac at home in Paris. That's always been the Gane recipe. Lose, beat up a lower-ranked heavyweight, and move on.
The Frenchman now faces Volkov at a time when the Russian’s stock may be at an all-time high. Volkov put on a dominant display against Sergei Pavlovich in his last fight, showcasing impressive composure and instinct in his stand-up game.
The problem? That’s exactly where Gane excels. "Bon Gamin" is known for his footwork and technical striking prowess. While Ciryl might push harder for a finish in a three-round fight, the gap in finesse striking between the two is significant.
I'd bet Gane by decision, or at least parlay him to win with the OVER 1.5 rounds.
How To Bet Volkov
In my eyes, Volkov needs to find a finish to defeat Gane in a three-round brawl. "Drago" fought defensively against Pavlovich and had the Russian fuming. Sergei got no offense, and Volkov landed more damage.
Unfortunately, Gane is way speedier than Pavlovich. And for what he lacks in power, the Frenchman makes up for in precision. A point-fight favors Gane, so Volkov needs to gun for a KO or get a chain takedown via the clinch. Perhaps Gane still hasn't quite solved the guillotine defense.
Gane vs Volkov Picks
I'll be betting Gane to get this fight done by decision. It's simply what he does. Maybe Bon Gamin bloodies and batters his opponent, but Volkov won't go down easy.
In the end, we're left with Gane, the chalk, by decision.
