This is the fifth edition of the Overwatch League, but more importantly, it is the first Overwatch League that will be played on Overwatch 2. This should bring about quite a few changes, but the big one will be the shakeup in roster composition, with teams now having to build a squad with five members as opposed to six.
This should add a nice little twist to the league, which is great as far as betting on Overwatch League title odds is concerned. Two sides come into this edition of the Overwatch League as overwhelming favorites: the Los Angeles Gladiators (+155) and Dallas Fuel (+175).
Others like the San Francisco Shock (+425), Seoul Dynasty (+550) and Shanghai Dragons (+600) will be eager to prove that they are just as capable of winning the league. Anyone who makes it this far in competitive Overwatch is likely to be quite good at the game, but a few stand out, which is why they’ll always be on top of the Overwatch League title odds table.

Favorites To Win In The 2022 Overwatch League Title Odds
Los Angeles Gladiators (+155)
They will once again have a pretty scary roster on paper. They won the Countdown Cup in 2021, which was a disappointing season as a whole, but have done better since and will be aiming for a lot higher.
They have never been champions before, but it seems like the stars might finally start aligning now. They have the highly experienced Space as a tank, who is great at bringing everyone in the team together. With him in the side along with some new players in the lineup, it’s no surprise that the Los Angeles Gladiators are leading the Overwatch League title odds.
Dallas Fuel (+175)
The Dallas Fuel won the May Melee last year, but like the Los Angeles Gladiators, they are capable of winning bigger honors as their Overwatch League title odds of +175 suggest. They have made changes to every area in the team this time, and it’s almost certain that they’ll improve their performance because of these changes.
One of the most impressive features of their performance last time out was how they weren’t affected by Xzi leaving the team. They were still arguably the second-best side in the league, and have now added upon that with more top players.
Value Picks To Win The 2022 Overwatch League
San Francisco Shock (+425)
They aren’t as strong as they used to be, winning the 2019 and 2020 editions of the league, but it is folly to underestimate a side that has already won so much in the game.
History and experience are always going to be important factors in any competition, and the Overwatch League is no different. They know what it takes to be champions, and it’s why they are third on the Overwatch League title odds table.
Seoul Dynasty (+550)
They have had an excellent season so far, having won the Kickoff Clash in June and being runners-up at Midseason Madness.
They have constantly been in contention for the top honors, and it looks like it’s time for them to make that step up in the latest installment of the playoffs. We’re bound to see some improvements from this team, but it still feels like it’s a bit too early for them to win it all.
Shanghai Dragons (+600)
They are the current champions, but the latest Overwatch League title odds aren’t in their favor. They weren’t firing on all cylinders in the Countdown Cup qualifiers, and their competition has improved.
At their best, they are still a formidable outfit, but it has been a while since we’ve seen them at their best. Even the best can’t just flick a switch at will. It’ll be hard work for them to defend their crown.
Betting Strategy for Winners of the 2022 Overwatch League
The defending champion Shanghai Dragons are certainly a tempting bet for the Overwatch League outright odds title. Odds of +600 suggest that the bookies have lost a bit of faith in them when you look at the teams that are ahead of them on the Overwatch League title odds table.
But we’d suggest that you still keep an eye on them. Their overall record is still excellent, and they just need to make a few adjustments to get back into their groove.
However, the Los Angeles Gladiators and Dallas Fuel are also looking great. We think the improvements in every role made by the Fuel might just make the difference going forward. The San Francisco Shock will always be seen as a threat because of their history in the competition, but we think they still have a bit to do to get back to their best.
