Liga MX Odds: Mexican Soccer Betting Lines and Spreads

Liga MX Odds Legend

At Odds Shark, our goal is to ensure that you make strategic picks. With our Liga MX Odds page, you’ll be able to understand what makes a bet strategic and why. The negative value sign signifies that a team is favored to win. Conversely, the positive value sign means you’re looking at the underdog. Let’s break it down: If Cruz Azul is listed at -105, they are considered the favorite. If Léon is listed at +250, then they are the underdog.

These numbers will be available before their match so you can use them to see what type of wager you’d like to make. There is also the possibility that the match between Cruz Azul and Léon will end in a draw (tie) and you’ll see that on our Odds page as well.

Moneyline

When it comes to making a fun yet strategic bet, the moneyline is one of the most popular wagers you can make. All you need to do when making a moneyline bet is pick a Sportsbook.  If Santos Laguna is playing Toluca and you pick Toluca to win and they lose, you don’t win your moneyline wager. But, if Toluca wins and you picked them, you’d win the bet. Many Liga MX fans prefer to make moneyline bets since they don’t have to deal with the unpredictability that comes with spread betting.

Total Or OVER/UNDER

This form of betting involves making a wager on the total number of goals scored during a game (hence, the name “totals”). You can place an OVER bet or an UNDER bet based on the totals number set by the sportsbooks (the place where you go to make your wagers). For instance, if the total for a matchup between Querétaro and Monterrey is set at 4.5 and you decide to bet the OVER, it means that you need five or more goals to be scored for you to win your bet. If you bet the UNDER, you need the total number of goals scored to be four or less.

Futures

Prior to the Liga MX starting, you can place a futures bet. You can even place a futures bet during the season. This type of bet requires you to bet on things like which club will win it all, or which teams will make the playoffs (liguilla). A good example of a futures bet would be a wager made on whether Tijuana will qualify for CONCACAF Champions League. If they win, you win your bet.

Check our Liga MX Odds page throughout the season to see how your chosen club is faring. The only issue that bettors have with futures wagers is that they can tie up your money throughout the season. However, you can also win big in the long run. It’s a risk, but many people see futures bets as having major rewards, making them worth your time and money.
