Lions vs Texans Odds & Picks Week 10: Offense Inbound On SNF

The Lions are 3.5-point favorites (on FanDuel) over the Texans ahead of their Week 10 Sunday Night Football matchup in Houston. Detroit is a -190 favorite on the moneyline, and the total sits at 49.

I'm surprised the sportsbooks aren't giving the Lions more respect, especially with the Texans coming off a bumpy Thursday Night Football loss.

Here are the Lions vs Texans odds and picks for SNF in Week 10.

Lions vs Texans Picks Week 10

Lions -3.5

3.5 isn't an ideal point total, but I don't see a reason Detroit can't cover — and this comes equally from the Lions' talent and the Texans' shortcomings. Firstly, Detroit has covered in all seven wins this season, including Week 6 against the Cowboys (-3.5) and last week against the Packers (-2.5). The Lions defense bailed the team out last week with a clutch touchdown, and that unit could have a big day against CJ Stroud and the Texans in Week 10.

Stroud hasn't been himself without Stefon Diggs and Nico Collins. He performed poorly against the Jets last week but should benefit from Collins' expected return ahead of SNF. Still, the Lions are better poised to win a shootout with their A+ offense. Jared Goff is back in a rhythm and few teams can match Detroit's fortitude on the ground.

Lions vs Texans Prop Pick

Jahmyr Gibbs OVER 67.5 Rush Yards (-135)

The best part about Gibbs is that he often racks up big chunks of yards at a time. One carry could get to half his expected total. While his rushing yards have gone UNDER in two of the last four games, Gibbs has only had narrow misses of 63 and 65 yards in Weeks 6 and 9, respectively.

The sophomore had just 11 carries last week, so I'll bet on the Lions upping his ante and letting him roll. Houston is middle of the pack with an average of 114 rushing yards allowed per game, which should allow for both Gibbs and David Montgomery to have strong days.

Lions vs Texans News

Texans wide receiver Nico Collins is on track to return in Week 10 after a hamstring injury sidelined him since Week 5. Collins’ recovery has been positive, with him reportedly reaching high speeds in recent training sessions, showing he’s regaining strength and flexibility.

Collins' absence has impacted the Texans' passing game, as Stroud's yardage per game dropped significantly without Collins in the lineup. Collins' return will be timely, especially with Stefon Diggs now out for the season, leaving the Texans' receiver depth thinner than planned.

Lions vs Texans Betting Trends

  • The total has gone OVER in 4 of Detroit's last 5 games.
  • Detroit is 7-0 ATS in its last 7 games on the road.
  • Houston is 1-6 ATS in its last 7 games played in November.
