LIV Golf Las Vegas: Niemann Looks To Repeat, Rahm Favored

LIV Golf returns for the second straight week after a successful launch to their third season last week at LIV Golf Mayakoba. Adding this event to its calendar, LIV Golf will travel to Las Vegas the same week as the Super Bowl in order to captivate some of those who may be traveling to Sin City for the big game.

LIV Golf Las Vegas is sure to be electric and Joaquin Niemann looks to win in back-to-back weeks. The young Chilean raced out to the first-round lead at LIV Golf Mayakoba with a historic 59 and held on to victory against a highly touted field. Besting Sergio Garcia in a four-hole playoff, Niemann is now among the favorites to win this week at +900.

Despite the victory, Niemann and the rest of the league is looking up at world No. 3 Jon Rahm. The Spaniard was in the mix in his first LIV Golf event but a pair of bogeys late in his final round saw his name drift down the leaderboard after tying for the lead. He goes off at +375 with Brooks Koepka, Cameron Smith, Dustin Johnson, Tyrrell Hatton and Bryson DeChambeaurounding out those under +2000.

2024 LIV Golf Las Vegas Betting Picks

Dustin Johnson To Win (+1400): There is inherently some risk in this play as the Super Bowl festivities may get to someone like Johnson, but he showed enough last week to pull the trigger.

Finishing in a tie for fifth, the two-time major champion was able to shed the offseason rust in an effective manner. With a few rounds under his belt, the 39-year-old should be able to put his best foot forward on this tree-lined oasis in the desert. Johnson has a way of flashing some subtle form before a big victory and I believe last week was an indicator of a victory this week.

Louis Oosthuizen To Win (+3500): This price just seems too long. Oosthuizen played some fine golf last week and finished inside the top 10. The South African continued a strong stretch of play that included two straight victories in his home country during the fall months.

A proven competitor on difficult golf courses, Oosthuizen should be able to dismantle Las Vegas Country Club. This is around the time of year Oosthuizen has historically played some of his best golf and this week could be one of those occurrences again.

Charles Howell III To Win (+3500): While he was unable to defend his title at LIV Golf Mayakoba, Howell III put together a valiant effort.

Finishing inside the top five, the former Oklahoma State Cowboy proved to still have the goods to compete and win on LIV Golf. He ranks fourth in driving accuracy and sixth in total strokes gained over the last 12 months and has the game perfect for a difficult layout.

He has connected on three top-10 finishes in his last four LIV Golf events and looks primed to get himself into the mix late into a tournament.
