The No. 8 LSU Tigers and No. 14 Texas A&M Aggies are painting similar pictures this year, each riding a six-game hot streak since being doused in their respective season openers. A trek to College Station is always intimidating but the Home Of The 12th Man has lost some power. The Aggies are 1-4 ATS on their home field this season, all but two spreads less than double-digits.
However, at 2.5-points over on BetMGM, the line is a bit too tight to make a deciding bet. Instead, LSU's habits of hitting the OVER and Texas A&M's offense treading in the right direction proves playing with the point total is the safer decision on my betslip.

LSU vs Texas A&M Picks – Week 9
Texas A&M's top 25 scoring defense allowing 19 points per game may impress us; but it means nothing to LSU. The Tigers have hit the OVER in five of their last six meetings with top 25 scoring defenses, notably holding 6-0 SU bragging rights, too. Yet, Brian Kelly has been in one too many close-calls to comfortably take his underdog spread, letting South Carolina and Ole Miss keep within three-points of the final score.
In the same breath, I haven't seen top-notch consistency from Mike Elko's group. Going from blowing out a ranked Missouri, 41-10, to nearly blowing a lead to Bowling Green in a oddly close 26-20 finish.
After a three week stint on the sidelines, Conner Weigman has looked stronger in the latter half of the season. He's eclipsed the 217-yard mark in his two recent appearances but three touchdowns and four interceptions still calls for some concern.
It'll be a contest boiling down to Garrett Nussmeier's passing and the Aggies run game (218.6 YPG). Regardless, at 53.5-points, I think there's more than enough room for two to plump up the scoreboard and hit the OVER.

LSU vs Texas A&M News
LSU's top running back isn't playing at full health. Caden Durham has been navigating the season with a foot injury since the end of September. Still, the freshman leads the pack with 382 yards and eight total touchdowns. In his last outing visiting Arkansas, Durham collected 101 yards and a trio of touchdowns. Despite the lingering injury, there's no need to worry about his performance clearly.
LSU vs Texas A&M Prop Bet: conner Weigman OVER 15.5 Rushing Yards (-115)
The quarterback has exceeded 15.5 rushing yards in four of his last five appearances at College Station, currently averaging 22 rushing yards per game according to Outlier. In his last three home games, Weigman has collected a total of 98 rushing yards, earning at least 26-yards in each meeting.
