NFL Offensive Player Of The Year Odds: Can Saquon Steal OPOY?

The 2024-25 NFL Offensive Player of the Year odds highlight the best of the league’s skill-position players.

While the league’s MVP Award is usually handed to the top quarterback, this is a shot for the receivers, running backs, and maybe even tight ends to stamp their place in the history books.

Let’s jump into the latest 2024-25 Offensive Player of the Year odds to see which player will take the trophy this season:

Odds from BetMGM, as of Nov 5th, 2024

The 2023 Offensive Player of the Year race was between Christian McCaffrey and Tyreek Hill, with CMC coming out on top. This year, it's two new playmakers on top of the odds, with Derrick Henry and Saquon Barkley leading.

OPOY Pick: Saquon Barkley

When Saquon Barkley is at his best, he's arguably the most dynamic player in football. Barkley has rushed for over 1,000 yards three times in his career and added over 40 receptions five times, too. He's got the same all-facets upside that Christian McCaffrey flashed last year.

Barkley looks healthy and in prime form this year. The Eagles' new RB is putting up monster numbers and will remain a key part of this great Philly offense, giving Barkley a real shot at this OPOY award.

OPOY Value Pick: Justin Jefferson

I don't care how good you think Sam Darnold has become, JJ deserves a lot of credit for the Minnesota offensive success this year. Despite going from Kirk Cousins to Darnold, Jefferson hasn't missed a beat. The Vikings are averaging nearly 100 yards per game with five touchdowns so far this season.

He may not post 2,000 rec yards, but I think a great season from Jefferson in the context of this Minnesota offense deserves some real recognition.

These players are prime examples of what makes an OPOY candidate. Often, this award is given to the non-QB offensive player as the league's MVP usually goes to that top quarterback.

Esteemed company, to say the least, these players are the only OPOYs to have been awarded twice or more. Faulk and Davis are the only members of this list who helped their team bring home a Super Bowl in the same year as their award, 2000 and 1998, respectively.
