All 32 NHL teams will hit the ice tonight, and ESPN has you covered with wall-to-wall action with this year's Frozen Frenzy. And we at Odds Shark have you covered with wall-to-wall odds and bets. Scroll down to see some picks and parlays for tonight's games.
To anyone who watches the NFL, this type of broadcast is nothing new. It's effectively the RedZone. For the NHL, this type of coverage is completely novel, so here's everything you need to know about it.
What Is NHL Frozen Frenzy?
With 16 games in the NHL staggered 15 minutes apart, it's hard to get eyes on all the action. John Buccigross, Kevin Weekes and PK Subban will whip around from game to game and give you all the highlights from goals, saves, and hits.
How To Watch NHL Frozen Frenzy?
Tune in from 7 PM to 1:30 AM for 6.5 hours of straight hockey! Here's how to watch the show:
For those with ESPN+, you'll get the entire show from 7 PM ET. If you don't have ESPN+ you can still tune in on ESPN2 as of 8 PM ET.
Sorry, Canada, you aren't included in the fun. ESPN isn't broadcast in the Great White North. You'll still get the games, but not this fun whip-around coverage.
NHL Frozen Frenzy Picks & Betting Specials
BET99 has everything bettors will need for this big night in the NHL. They've got odds for every game and for every market. They've also got a ton of pre-made same-game parlays for all 16 games tonight. You're bound to find a good bet to make at BET99.
Here are some of the picks I've made for tonight's set of games.
Rangers vs Canadiens Odds & Pick
Odds as of October 22
Pick: Rangers -1.5 (+105)
The Rangers are 3-1 as 1.5-goal favorites on the spread. The only time they failed to cover was against Utah where they dominated the xG with 56%. New York has the second-bet goals/60 rate in the league this year at 4.74 and seventh last year at 3.37, they're an elite offensive side that can fill the net with pucks.
Montreal has covered the -1.5 spread three times this year, but should have only done so once. The first time Montreal covered was thanks to a Sam Montembault 48-save shutout where he stopped six goals above expected, with all due respect to Montembeault, that is not a repeatable performance. The second time was against an Islander team that checked out in key moments of the game.
As such, I'm not confident that Montreal can keep up offensively with the Rangers. The Blueshirts win by two or more.
Senators vs Utah Player Prop Pick
Dylan Guenther Anytime Goal (+200)
Dylan Guenther is due to score a goal. He might be goalless in his last three games, but he's put up a combined seven shots and with a 17.4% shooting percentage leading up to this recent drought, you'd expect Guenther to have scored at least once in this mini drought. Again, he's due.
Now he plays an Ottawa side that's got the seventh-worst save percentage at 0.872 and that's allowed 4.28 goals above expected this year. Guenther should score tonight and at juicy +200 odds from BET99 I'm all over this bet.
Shooter's Galery Parlay
Granlund co-leads the Sharks in shots with 10 on the season and has hit OVER 2.5 shots three times this year. Tonight, the Sharks face the Ducks who average the most shots against at 34.7 shots per game. Granlund will get his looks while averaging nearly 22 minutes for San Jose.
The narrative is basically the same for Coleman. The Calgary forward is playing on the Flames top line and is peppering the opposition net with shots averaging 3.8 per game. His opponents tonight, the Pittsburgh Penguins have allowed the second-most shots per game at 34.3. Averaging a career-high 18:37 of ice time, Coleman will get no less than three shots tonight against a traveling Penguins side.
The Isles play against a Detroit side that's allowed the third-most shots per game at 34.3, Lee, whose gone OVER 2.5 shots in every game this season will go OVER tonight. Anders Lee has seen his ice time decrease to an average of 15:21, but sometimes, less is more. Even with less TOI, Lee is averaging 4.4 shots per game more than double his average from the previous season.
Dog's Day Parlay
Seattle is not only the home team here, but they've also been playing well on the season with a 4-2SU record and holding a 50.66xGF% at 5on5. I'm also ready to fade just about any team that plays Colorado while they still have Toews, Drouin, and Nichushkin out with injuries.
Carolina has been great against Edmonton with a 4-2SU record since 2020. They're also catching the Oilers at a good time thanks to McDavid's men struggling with a 2-4SU record and scoring seven fewer goals than expected.
CBJ are big home dogs with +180 odds at BET99, but their opponents, the Toronto Maple Leafs, played last night. In that context, the Leafs stink with a 4-6SU since 2020. Columbus will cause several upsets this year; this will be one of them.
