The Vancouver Canucks are back at Rogers Arena to face the Edmonton Oilers, Vancouver is a -105 home dog at BET99, that's action I'll easily take.
While Vancouver is 1-4 at home this year, it held a 27-14 (66%) home record last year and face an Edmonton team that's lost two straight games and struggling for consistency.

Oilers vs Canucks Picks
Vancouver Canucks ML (-105) at BET99
The Canucks have been dreadful at home with a 1-4 record this year but an extended five-game home stand could cure all of that, especially if they play as well as they've done in this three-game win streak with Jake DeBrusk scoring in all three games. DeBrusk is +300 for an anytime goal at BET99.
Vancouver will feel good about its chances not only because of that recent three-game heater where its offense came alive with an average of four goals, but it swept its four-game regular season series with the Oilers where an average of seven goals were scored and the Canucks won by an average of 3.5 goals. Naturally, the total went OVER 6.5 goals three times in those four games, OVER 6.5 goals tonight is +100 at BET99.
Meanwhile, the Oilers haven't been able to maintain any consistency with wins over the Preds and Flames then losing to the Devils and Golden Knights and only scoring twice in those two losses. The Oilers offense hasn't clicked this year averaging the second-worst goals per game at 2.36. With that poor offense and Vancouver having the Oilers number I can't bet on anything else but the Canucks moneyline.
Oilers vs Canucks Same Game Parlay
Taking the Canucks on the moneyline is the right play. I might not have said that at the start of the year when Thatcher Demko was sidelined with a long-term injury, but Kevin Lankinen has been fantastic with a stellar 2.08 goals against aver and 0.923 save percentage for a 7-0-2 record in Demko's absence. Considering how poor the Oilers are at scoring, the Canucks should win this game.
As a Odds Shark staff, we decided to take the OVER in this game even with Lankinen's stats and the Oilers' poor goal conversion rate because last year these two teams tickled the twine a lot with the total going above six goals three times with an average of seven goals scored. And while Edmonton holds the third-worst shooting percentage at 5.82% that's due to change.
Garland is on a hot streak with a point in his last three games and in six of his last eight. That production is giving him a ton of ice time with Garland averaging nearly 21 minutes a night over his last three games as he lines up with Elias Pettersson on the Canuck's second line. With all of that ice time and with the total going OVER 6.5 goals, Garland will get at least one point tonight.
Oilers vs Canucks Player Prop
Elias Pettersson O0.5 Points (-135) at BET99
Tonight is the night Elias Pettersson remembers he's a star player and gets on the scoresheet for at least one point. I'll take his points prop tonight even if he's cold as ice with only one point in his last five games.
Over the past two seasons, Pettersson has torched the Oilers scoring eleven points (two goals and nine assists) through seven games. Lately, his line has great underlying numbers with 70% of the puck possession and 87% of the expected goals at 5-on-5. Pettersson is playing the right way, the production will come, and no doubt it will happen tonight in Edmonton.
