Is Sports Betting Legal In Nova Scotia?

Legal sports betting was first introduced to Canada in 2021 when Bill C-218 was passed – an amendment to the Canadian Criminal Code that removed the federal government’s prohibition on single-game betting and placed the power in the hands of individual provinces.

It wasn’t until February 11, 2022 that sports betting in Nova Scotia was legalized, though, when the Atlantic Lottery Corp. announced that bettors in the province would be allowed to wager on single outcomes and parlays.
