USC vs Michigan Odds & Picks Week 4: Wolverines To Be Embarrassed At Home Again

The USC Trojans (-6.0) gear up for their first true Big Ten game as road favorites. What better welcome to the conference than a trip to the Big House? Unfortunately for those in Ann Arbor, Michigan has been off to a rocky start. Barely holding off Arkansas State in Week 3 and already suffering a loss courtesy of the Longhorns, the Wolverines are going to struggle against the rejuvenated Trojans fresh off a bye-week.

Meanwhile, USC has impressed across two weeks of play. This line is much shorter than I would think, so I'm taking advantage and easily locking in on the Trojans' spread.

USC vs michigan Picks – Week 4

The Trojans turned my head when they upset LSU, 27-20, in the Week 1 ranked matchup. Following that, they blew out Utah State, 48-0. So, why wouldn't I back USC here?

The Wolverines are getting some betting grace for hosting this meeting and there's no denying that the atmosphere at the Big House doesn't make it an easy place to play.

But, Davis Warren can't generate the passing game for Michigan, pairing his bland pair of touchdowns with six interceptions. Instead, Kalel Mullings has been the driving offensive force, gaining 270 yards on the ground. Of course, Donovan Edwards is following with 150 yards.

Bad news for the Wolverines is that the Trojans have proven capable of stopping the rushing game, allowing 87 yards to the Aggies and just 204 total through two performances. Even with missing Week 3, USC still sits 16th in the nation with 495.5 total yards per game.

I'm not alone is suggesting I don't like what I've seen from Michigan so far. Jump on this spread for this price, USC will cover it with ease.

USC vs Michigan Week 4 Pick: USC -6.0 (-108)

USC vs michigan prop Pick: donovan edwards UNDER 58.5 Rushing yards (-114)

Like I said, USC has proven to shut down the ground attack so far this season. Then, Michigan has shown it can't compete with the big boys anymore. We saw Edwards navigate just 41 yards on eight carries against Texas and just 27 yards in his season debut against Fresno State.

Sure, the senior regrouped against Arkansas State by recording 82 yards. But, the Red Wolves are also allowing 232 rushing yards per game. I really see Edwards running into more issues against the Trojans here.
