The No. 10 Clemson Tigers (-21.5) look to extend their five-game streak as they host the Virginia Cavaliers at Memorial Stadium. The Tigers are 4-0 against ACC opponents and riding the momentum wave. Meanwhile, Virginia's last outing was a flop after a last minute touchdown allowed Louisville to complete the comeback.
After failing to meet the College Football Playoff standards the past three years, Clemson is hungry to show the program is back to being a postseason contender.

Virginia vs Clemson Picks – Week 8
Since that season opening loss to Georgia, something has shifted for Clemson. In their last three matchups, the Tigers haven't allowed more than two scores while simultaneously painting 39.3 PPG to the scoreboard. Cade Klubnik, named ACC Quarterback Of The Week for the second time this season, is having a career year, collecting over 1,500 yards and 17 touchdowns, just three scores shy of surpassing 2023's passing touchdown total for his career-best.
The signal-caller's passing prowess should put on a clinic over Virginia's terrible passing defense, which gives up 290.6 YPG, one of the worst marks in the nation. The Cavaliers are mid-tier in just about every offensive area and their defensive efforts don't rank any better.

Virginia vs Clemson News
Bryant Wesco Jr. didn't travel with Clemson to play Wake Forest last week due to an ankle injury. But, ahead of Week 8's action, Dabo Swinney has officially listed the true freshman as day-to-day. Wesco has added 262 yards on 11 receptions this year, averaging a team-high 23.8 yards per catch.
His status will continue to be monitored ahead of this weekend's tilt with Virginia.
Virginia vs Clemson Prop Bet: Clemson -6.5 First Quarter (-122)
When I was checking the offense by first quarter stats, I wasn't expecting to see Clemson so abruptly. But yet, there the Tigers were, averaging the nation's best 15 points per first quarter. A mark much more promising than Virginia's 5.4 points average. When feeding off its home crowd, Clemson is averaging a whopping 24.3 points in the first quarter.
